Up to a train weight of approx. 4,000 tons.
In this system, a buffer car is coupled to the central towing hook of the wagon. With this application the buffer car can be automatically connected and disconnected. The buffer car travels on the same track as the wagons and is often used for head tracks. With this system, the buffer car can not pass wagons, but the switches. This system can also be equipped with a so-called Side Exit Mechanism (ZUM) . The buffer car is then driven physically out of the track via the ZUM, which also creates a ‘through track’ here. The wagons can pass the system.
The wagons can be carried out for any track gauge. All protections and signaling contribute to a safe and user-friendly installation. From the installation, signals regarding maintenance and operation can be generated, which can possibly be included in the maintenance and operational diagnostic system.
Wagon story installations are very low-maintenance, energy and cost-saving, efficient and safe.
