ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIVES

The electrically driven BRE locomotive, like the diesel-powered BRD locomotive, has its own design. This shunting locomotive is supplied with energy by means of batteries. The capacity of the battery is explained in such a way that the locomotive is operational for at least one day. This locomotive can also be adapted to suit all requirements and is manufactured in its own workshop. In addition to the battery variant, it is also possible to opt for a version in which the power supply is connected to the shore via a reel. KRE is the compact version of the BRE locomotive.

Shunting Coupling

Pneumatic installation

Virtually all shunting locomotives are equipped with a pneumatic installation for (wagon) braking, as well as for the control of various components. Compressor output, tank capacity and design are selected based on the use of the locomotive.

Track

Worldwide, various track widths are applied. In addition to the track gauge of 1435 mm which is generally used in Europe. there is also wide – and narrow track in various sizes. The shunting locomotives can be carried out in any track gauge.
